Hosted on Ridge by the Trideja Digital Creativity Network.
Here in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, we currently have a choice of three wireless voice communications providers, including Rogers AT&T Wireless, Telus Mobility, and Microcell Communications (Fido). Telus Mobility has since acquired ClearNet, and now operates more than five wireless networks in westen Canada. These include their original 800Mhz Analog, 800Mhz Digital, 1900Mhz Digital, the 1900Mhz Digital from ClearNet, and of course, the MiKE service from ClearNet. The latest Dual Band phones with the latest PRL's (09 & 42011) will use any of them interchangably, except of course MiKE. A short while back, I had the opportunity to use each network extensively and give my own opinion on each. I tried to be as unbiased as possible, although my testing of each network has left me with a preference for service using on CDMA. You will find most of the information here is Relevant to my phone (A Motorola Digital StarTAC), and their network (CDMA). |
