In short, my opinion of the quality of the MiKE service in Vancouver is not
very good, as I have experienced many annoying quirks with the system.

Here is a list of unnaceptable MiKE areas I've encountered over the last month,
I dont have the date/time info handy anymore, but I will note them for future
calls.
- Commercial Street & 29th Ave in Vancouver, in building, ground floor weak
signal, garbled voice
- Cecil Green Park in North West Corner of UBC area Near water, receiving party
couldn't hear me, service signal cycled between weak & none
- 999 Canada Place Downtown, 4th floor, really sporadic service signal strength,
1 of every 3 calls would say 'try again' and voice was garbled when I did get
through
- Along river road at alexander road in delta, in-building performance cycles
between No service, and service with no bars of signal strength - mike (non-phone)
talking is extremely garbled in this state, and I have to revert to land line.
- 132 st & 72nd ave in surrey, (Comber way) in building use is a similar
sitation.
- 29th & Bellevue in West Vancouver - in building
- When driving east or west along 1st avenue near clark drive, my call is often
dropped. No slow fading out, or degradation of call quality then drop, the call
is perfect and it instantly drops and just says 'try again'
- on an average of 1 out of 10 calls (any place in the lower mainland, has happenned
to me the most while driving), when I dial it, it comes back with 'try again'..
sometimes i have to try 2 or 3 times until I can get through.
- Driving East along hwy #1 in north vancouver about 3 minutes before the lonsdale
exit. My call was not dropped, but for a minute or so, the call was incomprehensible
due to a weak signal.
- Heading north on Boundary just past Joyce at 1:55PM today (Aug 28 for the
file) was talking to the office, and the call dropped instantly - Display said
"Please try again" Apparently the other end heard a solid squealling
tone when the call dropped.
