The Harnett County IR Accu-Votes were left on for a day to
charge the batteries but the charge did not hold. Batteries have not been
changed since original purchase, 7 or 8 years ago. I recommended to the
main man - Charles Hill, that he have new batteries installed in all the 24
Accu-Votes.
I believe Barney is the keeper of the serial numbers and would
know if any mods have been done to these IR AVs over-active
capacitors.

As for printer noise, this is not likely the problem. In the
infrared units there can be problems when printing if the battery is very
low but otherwise the problem should be limited to particular units if there
is a problem possibly with the printer itself.

I think these were
IR units in NC which is why I mentioned the old printer problem.
They are old units so the batteries are probably not what they used to be
either.
