Shipping Damage
Please be advised that an AccuFeed shipped to a demo site was not packaged
properly for its return trip to McKinney. The top set of inserts was
missing completely. As a result, the box collapsed during the shipment, and
the unit sustained damage.
Please ensure that when packaging any equipment, all the original packaging
materials are used so as to prevent damage to Global's equipment.
Damaged equipment takes resources (time and money) to repair. Global could
save that time and money if more care was taken in packing the equipment.
As a recent example, a returned R6 unit wasted $2000 worth of plastics due
to improper packaging. That same amount was wasted on an R5 unit's plastics
received last year without proper packaging.
If packaging materials are missing, please contact Global's
shipping/receiving department for options. Please make every attempt to
save the original packaging materials so Global doesn't expend more
resources shipping empty boxes to demo sites.
