So there is an obvious workaround.  After a few hours on battery, install 2.12.

Sounds like the opposite of WindowsCE 2.12 which always reports LOW.

R6  BS 4-3-1,  WinCE 3.0

 

Plugged in R6 for three days.  Display indicated Power as "High" .  Removed power cord and used for 8 hours.  The Power remained on "High" until it shut off.  Plugged it back in and the Power display still says "High".

Guess the indicator is not working
