Shortly before midnight on August 17, 1998, I discovered a quick and easy way for anyone to disable PICS content censorship in Netscape Communicator 4.06 without a password. By Friday, my server had recieved over 23,000 requests for pics-disable related documents on my web site. This doesn't include the countless thousands of accesses the Anti-Censorware Proxy receives daily.
