I am a public defender in town and I would like to voice my support for your defense of your client's right to maintain his website. In fact, I would like to be notified of its new address when it is running again. Is the database downloadable? Sometimes we have to serve subpoena on officers who do everything they can to make themselves unavailable. In one case we had to track down the information through real estate tax records. Anyhow, keep up the good fight.

If you feel that the listing of Officers information so vital to the proper regulation of their duties then why not put the owners of the site information out as well. I tell you why because you are cowards and will not stand by what you own beliefs are. As far as publishing information on officers goes, go ahead put their names, Department, rank and even the rate of pay that is all public knowledge. However to put their home addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth and Social Security Numbers out for all the scammers and cheats to get their hands on is criminal. I can tell you that I have worked several cases where a persons financial identify has been stolen and their credit ruined by unscrupulous individuals obtaining the information by deceit or outright theft. Go ahead put the owners info out their right along with the officers and see how long it takes someone to get their hands on it.

You state that one goal is to obtain better police service and have officers accountable for their actions, but you will find you will not be able to obtain the "high caliber" recruits that will provide this if they fear for their safety.

So, you have been busy. I just want to congratulate you on your efforts to hold an uncontrollable system accountable. They NEED to be reigned in and I don't know a more effective way than what you are attempting. I would only suggest that you have not yet gone far enough.

You need to 'notify' also on politicians and parole board members. On County commissioners and jail personnel. Politicians should be listed according to their committee assignments and the type of legislation they deal with. And ALL should have their home addresses listed - and phone numbers if available.

If they insist on snatching away the constitutionally protected rights to privacy of a segment of the criminal population, then let them be stripped of the same rights! I know that even though it is starting out as just former sex-offenders in most states - it will not be long until it is applied to all convicted criminals. Montana has already extended it's registration to include ALL VIOLENT OFFENDERS - including those convicted of 'Domestic Violence'.

Like you said - if they are not actually screwing over anyone, then they have no reason to be concerned. What is going on with the two-tier sentencing system in Washington? On average, all those still under the Parole Board (and there are still hundreds of them) have already done more than TWICE the amount of time as their counterparts under the NEW SENTENCING SYSTEM. In fact many have done 8 - 10 - 12 times as much time as others serving a sentence for the same crime - and with the same (or worse) criminal backgrounds. Why is the Parole Board still in existence almost 18-years after being legislated out of existence?

It was intended that all prisoners would be put under the NEW SYSTEM and would have their sentences made commensurate with those under the NEW SYSTEM. In fact, this is WHY, this is the REASON that they instituted the NEW SYSTEM of SENTENCING to begin with! I know one guy in Walla Walla Penitentiary right now and he has done more than 10-YEARS on a PAROLE VIOLATION!!! Under the NEW SYSTEM, he would not have done more than 60-days, per violation! Let me see now...10-years vs. 60-DAYS! Hmmmm...seems like EQUAL TREATMENT UNDER THE LAW to me. HELLO!!!!

And the ONLY reason they get away with it is because of the ' loop-hole' in their legislative mandate that says inmates must be first ' REHABILITATED ' before they are paroled. And, of course, the law was not kind enough to DEFINE the term leaving it solely to the discretion of the board. The board, of course, NEVER has defined the term to anyone - least of all the inmates who must conform to it, and in fact it may even be different for some than for others. It's ironic that the very term that is intended to help persons who have temporarily lost their way (rehabilitation) has become a tool of the worst kind of old Soviet style repression of it's citizens. Oh we don't call them ' insane asylums' but they are little different.

PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK THAT YOU ARE DOING! If you will send me an address, I will send money as I can. DO NOT allow anyone to dissuade you from your present course - it is RIGHT, and it is GOOD! God bless you!

If this is your logic, then how do you explain the web sites DOC puts released sex offenders on? Aren't they reformed too? They certainly paid their dues. You're saying they would be better equipped to work with other offenders? Well DOC never thought of their safety. Perhaps you remember the guy who got released, and then when his name came up on the website, someone burned his parents house down in revenge. Where were HIS rights to privacy?

And yes, they do have records. Many DOC employees have at least gross misdemeanors. They are shoplifters, wife-beaters, drunk drivers, and rapists. And they all got special treatment and a job where they can abuse authority. Mr. Sheehan didn't get a second chance, people like you wouldn't leave him alone after he paid his debt to society. He just wanted a job and a family, and DOC wouldn't let go because he was smart, worked hard, and made good money. They wanted to continue to exploit him and abuse him- it is all in the records. Well, now it is our turn. That is what this site is about- not revenge, as some allege. rather, it is about honesty and responsibility- Law enforcements' responsibility to the public. They will not be allowed to lie and hide with impunity.

That is what this site is about. You can be sure we will not give up on this vitally important issue, and we will vigorosly resist any attempts at legislation designed to create a special class of citizens whose privacy is valued more than some.

Anytime you publish personal information of this kind on anyone for any
reason it puts them and their families in some kind of jeapardy or danger.
My husband is not on your "list of criminals", if indeed there is a list of
people working for DOC with records, I find that very hard to believe as
they all go through background checks for just that purpose. I don't know and
I sure won't take your word that it exists, but here's a thought:: who better
to deal with criminals then reformed criminals...Wouldn't U say ?? it's a
great idea. However I don't think the state or cities are smart enough to
implement something so intelligent when they can't even protect their
employees from the likes of a web site.
Just whom do U suppose wants this list of yours ? .. if not someone
who could harm us, what is your purpose ? revenge? sounds like it.
who would really care ???? good upstanding law abiding decent citizens? Come
on now, you know that answer. What do you suppose the likelyhood, even if it
is public record, that a client/criminal would bother to take the time and
effort to go look this stuff up?
What is your real beef? It sounds like you got caught. If you did, do your
time and leave the rest of us alone. They make a living and have a life just
like you do, and you can spout all the free speech and public record and
people have a right to know crap you want....what I would like to know is..
what is your real motivation?

WELL YOU ARE WRONG !! ALL DOC OFFICERS do not carry guns or any kind of
weapons, they are out there dealing with criminal minds everyday. They come
home to wives/husbands and children. Everyday, we are relieved that they make
it home safe, that some " thimble brain" hasn't done something stupid to take
them from us for 1 more day. Reguardless of what you believe, you are putting
us all in danger or you wouldn't make such an ignorant childish attempt at
revenge, especially without doing your homework and speaking from facts. I am
sure there is a way to solve your beef without putting innocent people in
danger, or yourself for that matter, as I see the media televised your name
and home address. I hope you don't have a wife and children that you have put
in danger. It is scary.

I think by now we all know who you are. We know your name and address. More importantly we know that you are a coward who would prefer that others do your dirty work. Why not step up and publish your name and criminal history? Scared? Anton was scared too. I suspect that he knew all along that his preaching and dogma were just a cover for his fear of the unknown.
