RE: travel tools
Instead of a hub and several RJ 45 cables, I just carry 1 XOver
cable. Unless you are setting up several AVTS units for downloading, using
a XOver cable to connect your labtop directly to a AVTS or other computer works
fine.
The
small thin metal Feeler Gage, that Ian issued in the past for getting out paper
jams in the AVOS is also a nice tool.
Myself, I have purchased a small Electronics Tool Kit, that comes with
small screw drivers, nut drivers, needlenose pliers, cutters, wire
strippers/cutter and soldering iron. I also added to this kit a EPROM
puller for removing EPROMs from the AVOS units. I would also like to add a
EPROM Burner, and EPROM Eraser, to be able to create new AVOS versions in my
office or in the field, but I don't know if it is really worth it, since we are
going more to AVTS.
Lots
of Tylenol or Aspirin.

here is the beginning of the
traveltools list - please look it over and add to it if you
have items you always travel with that are not on the list
the hope is that we all can have
what we need on us when we need it
