Ballot
Station documentation has been produced for certification purposes,
however, it will not be
officially released until the firmware has been
approved. (Very soon, we hope!)
The
new documentation describes changes in the firmware to version 4.3.8.
The documents
have been produced with Track Changes
(change bars) on, a requirement for certification purposes,
however, I can create unofficial copies
with change bars off, if need be. Please let me
know.

I know what you mean. And I do
apologize for all the changes.
I know it is trying. But
we are trying to make the software better, and it’s kind of a necessary
evil. We really didn’t think
much of the button move when we made it – but we probably could have done a
better job at the heads up. In
our defense, all these changes are in the
documentation.

understand - just wished a little more warning was given and maybe some
input from the field -
sorry for the
tirade - but I hate surprises in the field and then having to go back
and tell them "we have a newer latest and greatest " and it may not be
the last - we may be updating you on the day before the
election...

in 4-1 versions
up to 11 it was at top of list in test count and in 4-3-7 it is not there-
there is no view ballot button at all - only the 3 diferent l & a
buttons - there is a test count button at the top that when you push
it way downin the lower left corner a new by ballot button appears
and if you push it the old create voter card on the bottom right changes
to view ballot
quite a
significant change when the top button has been view ballot in the 4.0 and
4.1 series

who made the
decision to lose /move the view ballot option in the test count
section. This may be a nice touch but imagine loading it up at a
customer site and trying to view the ballots only to find the button
gone - now that it is loaded - only 5 machines I can go
back tomorrow and load all 80 withthe new BS software that to my
knowlege isn't tested - in an election I have run anyway - and all for
the sake of audio files
