    I was getting candidates labels and race labels mixed up.  GEMS does not impose any limit on the race label but a reasonable limit is about 50 characters since it will be truncated in reports.  The AccuVote-OS limits the race title to 40 characters.

Ok, if 20 is the max for the Race Label in GEMS.  How is it, that I can put in 240 characters.  The Candidate Label is only 20, and it does stop at 20.

What is the max number of characters that the Race Label will allow???  Both from doing data entry in GEMS, and from doing an Import from an export file.
