Thanks again. Mark

Message----- While I
was investigating it, I found some notes worth to be shared with all of
you. 1.
The Java language is case sensitive, hence all text typed into JResultClient
will be as-is. That includes the web-address type into the Result Set
Dialog. 2.
If posting the data files on a web site, please make sure the files are named
as "SCRIPT.LST" and "SXXXXXX-XXX.TXT", all in upper
case. There is no specific reason about it except these are how they are
saved from GEMS, and JResultClient simply hard-coded to look for them. Hi
Mark, you should be fine if https://home.earthlink.net/~meglobal/script.lst
is renamed to https://home.earthlink.net/~meglobal/SCRIPT,
and run JResultClient as standalone. Whitman -----

Jresult client files on web Whitman, thanks for the
very clear instructions. The steps you outline appear geared towards running
JResults Client directly from the web page, which is exactly what many users
have been asking for. I have also been asked if a
standalone installation of JResult Client on a specific computer can just grab
the .lst and .txt files from a website – essentially using the web only as a
means of making the data files accessible to a computer running JResult Client
at a remote site. Of course, this may be
completely unnecessary if the steps you have outlined are used, but in theory,
will this other method work? Mark

applet when running from http server. Attached is an updated version
of JResultClient.html, please use a text editor to change the line from <PARAM NAME="address" VALUE="">> to <PARAM NAME="address" VALUE="https://home.earthlink.net/~meglobal/">> and overwrite the JResultClient.html in your \Program
Files\GEMS\JResultClient\ folder. Then copy all the files in \Program Files\GEMS\JResultClient\
folder to https://home.earthlink.net/~meglobal/ Now all the .class, .gif
and html files are all on the web site and they should work with each
other happily. You may even want to rename the file name to index.html on
your web site. This will run the html file when you enter https://home.earthlink.net/~meglobal/ from
your browser. Also it is good to set aside the data by moving the
script.lst and other sXXX-XXX.txt to a sub-folder. Whitman -----

Jresult client files on web I am testing JResult
Client’s ability to pull results off of a website. I placed some test results
files at: https://home.earthlink.net/~meglobal/ The files are script.lst,
s1-0.txt and s19-0.txt. I cannot get JResult Client to give me the list of
scripts when I hit refresh. Is there some trick to the
addressing I am missing, or is this most likely something wrong on my end?
Everything works well if the files are on a local drive. Mark Mark
