| I have done
this also, but still get the same result as below.  10 for Polling, 2 for
Absentee and 2 for Early, but only a total of 12.

  For what it's
worth, I drilled into Georgia customers last year never to use default vote
centers.  What you are describing occurs with the default vote centers,
but not with non-default vote centers.   Recuperate using the following steps:
    delete both
Absentee and Early Voting counter groups
    re-add the
counter groups, again with unique vote center categories
    re-define the
    two cumulative report precincts
    create a unique
vote center in each of the Absentee and Early Voting vote center
    categories
    link the
cumulative report precincts to the corresponding vote centers

Counter Groups - Cannot get correct Number of Precincts total
 I did not
put both the Absentee & Early report precincts together.  GEMS did
this automatically for me, and I cannot delete the Early from Absentee, or
visa-versa.  If I could, I think that all would be
    fine.
       You have the
Absentee and Early report precinct both in the Absentee
vote center.  Ditto Early vote center.  That is, um, a weird
thing to do.  Delete Early report precinct out of Absentee vote
center, and visa-versa, and you should be fine.   That said,
there does seem to be a double accounting here for this oddball
case.  There is definitely only one early voting precinct
      reporting.   Ken

        Here
is the database.  No matter if I create seperate Vote Center
Categories, or have both counter groups under the same Vote Center
Category, I still come up with the same result on the
        report.

          Hold on, I
think I misread this.  Jeff, can you email me the database
          so we can play.   Ken

            This is
actually correct, though it can be confusing.  The Absentee and
Early counter groups are in the same precinct in
this example.  So, we don't sum them, they only count
once.  The total number of precinct is 12, not 14.
You will get the same answer whether the counter group totals
box is check or not.   Ken

              I have tried
a couple of different ways to set up 2 Cumulative Counter
Groups.  But no matter how I do it, when I print out a
Election Summary Report with the Counter Group Totals Only check
box unchecked, I get the Number of Precincts to be 2 for each
Cumulative Counter Group, whereI believe it should be 1.  The
Total is correct, but makes it very confusing, if you are adding
from left to right.  Please see below.   Maybe I am
              not doing something correct????         JEFF
