Question – they have sent me a postscript file for there bilingual ballot and
would like to see what our layout would look like, hard copy of their existing
ballot is to follow. Who would
like to pick up on this and develop some ballots for them to look at. Just as
a point of fact - this is a hinge
pin account in Florida – meaning that we need to show off. They also questioned if we can do
English on one side and Spanish on the
other?
Back
to the Shell question -Only to complicate matters – they sometimes, but
seldom, provide up to three style per school election. For what reason I don’t know. Ballot on Demand sounds good and may
be an answer, are we comfortable with BOD at this time? We can give them a generic
database that they can manipulate and reprint with candidate names according
to my pal Nel.

ballot shell question
What is the average
number of ballots per school election??? If the number of ballots per
election is small and you were able to use Gems, why not do it as a complete
service with programming & ballot on demand???

Subject: ballot shell
question
Folks,
A
prospect runs school elections in a very large Florida County to the tune of
some 25,000 ballots a year and averages two school elections a week across
their county.
What
experience, if any, do we have at printing a ballot shell with a single
column, single row of ovals (say up to 12) and a blank header area. The idea is for the county to then
print candidate names and school name in the appropriate area onto the shell
customized to each election using in house MS Word and a connected
printer. I would also assume it
would be a single database shell, replicated and used over and over with the county
replacing names and headers for each election. Maybe we could provide candidate 1,
candidate 2, candidate 3 in the database and they could change the names for
each election.
As I
read this now, I’m certain it’s not real
clear.
But if
you have got the gist of this please advise if this is
doable.
