I believe
that if we put the requirement in place that the race heading on the summary
page is created from the data entered into the label field of the race editor,
it may offer a partial solution to the problem that Ken is presenting. If you look on the printed short
report, that is were the heading for that report is obtained. If that suffices for the printed form,
then why would it not suffice for the summary page. Larry J. Dix Vice

printing was incorrect. Sorry. I meant display on-screen. Ken has it
correct that Frank has asked to touch a piece of summary and go back to the
race if the voter wants it changed. This is presently a Sequoia function
now. Regarding the
Race Titles for the race summary, it does sound like we are asking for a
LABELSUM field in the race editor that would be used on the last page summary
screen vs. the complete Header file which includes Vote for information. -----

As for
a summary screen, I don't think there has been a formal
RCR as of yet. I don't really understand the request myself: voters
are welcome to review their ballot, so I don't see the functionality. If
you want to submit it, please include whether this is required by law, and some
motivation for the request. On the technical side, there is the question
of where to get the race titles to put on the summary screen, and what to do
when all races do not fit on one screen. We'll need suggestions in the
RCR for those issues. Ken |
