1.)  No that has been noted and will be corrected on the final revision of the unit.

2.) The locking card reader is being reviewed but it will probably be handled by software sensing the card after every screen to see if it has been removed.

 

Can you provide more input on the problems with the card not locking in Forsythe.  As you know the existing card reader is locking but the card can be, and voters have provided us with proof, that the card can be removed.

I worked with the new AVTS models a couple of weeks ago in Forsythe County, NC.  I have a couple of questions concerning the Card reader on those new models.

 

1) Will we have to insert the card upside down always, or is this something that will be fixed in the future???

2) Will the card readers never be locking, or is there going to be some different card readers installed in the future that do lock???
