Just a
reminder for this RCR. We want to use the 1.95 firmware, since this
firmware is able to print out the Precinct Label.
Thanks,
Jeff
We are behind schedule on this item and will try
to have it completed by May 8th.

Subject: RE: Ability to have the
AccuVote sort Over votes & Challenged
What is the status of this RCR??? In order to
be able to run the Puerto Rico election, this requirement needs to be
done. Robert Pickett & Juan Rivera are asking me about
this.
Thanks,
Jeff
Jurisdiction: San Juan, Puerto
Date
Requested: April
2, 2002
Date
Required: May 1, 2002, Actual
Election date is June
30th, but need to test and have ready by May 20th.
Requested on behalf of Puerto Rico. In addition to having the AccuVote sort out
Blanks and Write-In's, they would like to have the AccuVote sort out Over Votes, and Challenged
Voters. They do not want to have the AccuVote rejecting any
ballots, because they do not want to jeopardize the secrecy of the ballot
and voter. All Blanks, Over Votes, Challenged, and Write-In's need
to be sorted, and then the Election Commission will look at all these
ballots and manually adjust the vote
totals.
Ability
to Sort out;
1. Blanks = En Blanco
2. Over votes = No Adjudicado
3. Challenged * = No Adjudicado
4.
Write In =
Otros
*Note: The function of
Challenged was incorporated for PR on firmware 194X in the past where if
the oval for challenged is marked in the back of the ballot what ever was
marked in the front race was not read and the ballot was sorted
out.
Thanks,
