This
has been discussed with Pat Green.
He is aware of the issue of the difficulty in inserting the card due
to the limited visibility of the card slot. I do believe the option of tilting
the reader was discussed in the design phase. Ian Piper or Jeff Dean may have some
technical information as to why the reader could not be
tilted.

design issue --TS
Will
it be possible to re-design the Card Reader on the R-6 so that it is at an
angle. Or maybe extend the bottom part of the reader, and have lights or a
color that guides the voter to properly insert the voter
card.
Right
now we are experiencing voters inserting/jamming the voter card in the wrong
place.
This
is a deal breaker. At the moment there are 3 counties ready to buy,
Travis, Bexar, and El Paso, who is going county wide. This is worth
approximately 15 million dollars to the company. They all want to see a
change to the current card reader.
