GEMS 1.18.9
Gems allows you to create a straight party race, with multiple candidates
belonging to the same party. It doesn't present you with any error msgs and
allows you to successfully save the race. Then IF you try to edit that
record, you get an error msg that says 'Please enter an integer between 2
and 250' and the cursor flashes in the export field. Even if you enter an
integer b/w 2 and 250 it doesn't let you edit the record. It keeps
presenting you with the same error msg and the only way out of this loop is
if you press the 'Cancel' icon, which returns you to the list view screen.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
- Create a straight party race
- Create a candidate race with vote for 1
- From the options tab click on 'endorsement' drop down menu and select the
straight pary race you created
- From the candidates tab add two candidate of the same party (ie 2
candidates democratic)
- Click on OK
Result: The race is saved successfully without any error msg even though
you had 2 candidates of the same party.
- Double click on the race you just created.
- Click on the options or candidate tab
Result: You will get an error msg that says 'Please enter an integer
between 2 and 250'
- Click on 'OK'
- The cursor will be flashing in the 'Export' field
- Enter a number between 2 and 250
- Click on 'OK'
Result: You will get an the same error msg that says 'Please enter an
integer between 2 and 250'
You are unable to get out of this loop until you click on the 'Cancel' icon.
