RE: Daylight Savings Time - Windows CE - AVTS R6 - Not Changing Time

Yes, that is true.  However, during the early voting process, the daylight savings time will change during the election cycle, and there is no way to fix the time once the election has been set.

Just my 2 cents...   Computers do not keep perfect time.  If the time is important, customers should always check the time before an election.  Changing to daylight savings or standard time should not be a big deal if they are checking anyway.   ...Pat

Jeff,

It seems Microsoft in their great wisdom decided not to support automatic daylight saving time adjustment.  We will add this to our task to do.

I have tried several times to get the Daylight Savings Time to work on the AVTS R6 unit.  I have set the date to April 6th at 11:30p.m., I have the Daylight savings time currently in effect, box checked.  I then have let it run for over 3 hours, so the time is 2:30a.m. on April 7th, but it does not change the time to 3:30a.m. as it should.  Do I need to let the R6 run for a full 24 hours, since it is Windows CE???  I can change the time on my laptop or any other computer in the office to 1:59a.m., April 7th, and when it turns 2:00a.m., it automatically goes to 3:00a.m.  Is this a bug in CE, or am I doing something wrong???
