Subject: RE: races squished in ballot
layout 1-17-20
This has been a
feature since GEMS started generating postscript. Turning it
off as an option is probably a reasonable request, but I hate to blow it for
everyone. Which account is this? Obviously they are making a stink
or we wouldn't be having this conversation, but we have run dozens (hundreds?)
of elections in California with it working the way it does, so something (or
someone) must be new.
Tari, we'll send
you a 1.17.21 prerelease that doesn't squish if its so critical that you'd
actually do it manually if we don't send it. Use it to re-lay out
the ballots, and then go back to the standard release until we get this
resolved.
Ken
Is this being looked at ? any
resolution? if not it means a whole lot of manual moving
races.
Thanks
Tari

Subject: races squished in ballot layout 1-17-20
attached is picture of races in
1-17-20 - each race has the same font size for header and text so why
does Gems squish it in some and not in others - we need smooth
consistent layout of races
