No, sorry I should
have made that explicit. It isn't the bug I though it was -- that one was
fixed in 1.17.18. This is something new. But I can't reproduce it
currently.
Ken
Should I fire up GEMS 1.17.18 and see if it still gives an
error?

Subject: RE: GEMS Exception - Ballot
Audit Viewer
I got the folder
from Steve, but cannot reproduce the problem. None of Steve's ballots
exhibit the problem. I tried downloading one of the "problem" ballots,
namely Precinct 3.10 DEM, but it works fine for me. If someone
has a method to produce this error I can probably fix
it. This is potentially pretty serious, but without a way to
reproduce it there is not much I can do.

Also, email me
a zip of your CurrentElection folder, and specify exactly what "some
ballots" is supposed to mean -- ie serial numbers.
Ken
Try 1.17.18
and see if that helps. See attached. Get back to us
either way.

In the attached db sent by Jeff, in GEMS Ballot
Audit, I select Vote Center 3, and select the 3rd ballot, for example,
and get the following message. Some ballots show fine, others
give this same message.
