GEMS is a little easier than AVTS.
It appears that GEMS has stabilized at 1-17-15. AVTS is a little different. The process
at Wyle certainly is not contusive to resubmitting a change every week, v 4.03
was released 6/12. Wyle was sent that source for review about 7/1. By definition, the bug you reported on 4.06
will become 4.07 once this bug is fixed, so even if I would have sent Wyle source
yesterday, it is not what we would use for the volume test. We go there on the premise that we have
thoroughly tested before we get to their doorstep. We are looking at the numbering process because we seem to
be shooting ourselves in the foot with the numbering system we have. Larry J. Dix Vice President of Operations Global Election Systems -----Original
Message----- The reason that we are up
to 4.0.6 is because of bugs that would affect the certification process.
I asked this question to Don last week, about what Versions we should
be using of both GEMS & AVTS. So, I ask once again, which
versions are we going to use??? -----Original Message----- Are there any skeletons (bugs) in the closet on 4.03
that will cause us problems for this volume test? Also I am not sure it is wise to get too far ahead in
Georgia since they will depend on the report from Wyle. It only means that once we finish Wyle
at 4.03 we will have to go back and get conditional certification on 4.06. Larry J. Dix Vice President of Operations Global Election Systems -----Original
Message----- Yes, I was doing it for
the Wyle volume test. I did not know what version Wyle had. Do you
want me to do it in version 4.0.3??? If so, then I will need to set my
AVTS back to 4.0.3 for this testing, then back up to 4.0.6 for Georgia
testing. Please let me know. -----Original Message----- Is this for the Wyle volume test? We currently have 4.03 at Wyle and I
see that you are setting this up on 4.06.
This could be problematic. Larry J. Dix Vice President of Operations Global Election Systems -----Original
Message----- I go to
record a script in AVTS - CE - 4.0.6 and get the error - ERROR - SEH Exeception
c0000005. I press the F2 function key to bring up the File Save Dialog
Box, enter in a file name under the /Storage Card directory, select OK at Loop
Count Box, then get the above error message. JEFF HINTZ Global Election Systems |
