It seems to be occuring as early as GEMS 1-15-9 but does not seem to occur in 1-13-8.

I have noticed it too.  Its harmless, if annoying.  What version did it start doing that?

A warning beep is issued in GEMS 1-17-12 when switching tabs in the Race Editor in the course of adding races.  The warning beep is also issued for the first and sometimes second race being added at the point the Add button is clicked.  Processing in these cases appears otherwise successful.
