Steve, the touch
screen firmware logic is designed this way, in another words, the straight party
choice overrides any prior explicit candidate choices. In order to
implement a non-overriding straight party choice, configure the election with
Pennsylvania Straight Party Voting in the AccuVote-TS Options in
GEMS.

Voter then
casts a straight party vote.
All offices are now overridden by the straight

Proper operation:
Changing the
straight party vote should not override a given office after an
exception
as been made in a that office.
In other words, only offices that had no
exception voting should be
overridden by a change of the straight party
vote.
